Pizza Party

Eta Sigma held a pizza party to celebrate our hard work for the semester and we used it as a recruiting event. President Jordan Coleman led the discussion regarding what Eta Sigma is, what we do, and what events we should host for the Spring semester. Dr. Towns, the chapter advisor, also discussed the importance of Phi Alpha Theta and how to join.
On Campus Book Sale

For the first time, Eta Sigma held a one day book sale in the Steen Library. We had over 1,000 books that were donated and gifted to us from professors within the History Department, the ETRC, and other kind people. We were able to raise over $400 which will be used to help send our PAT members to academic conferences.
Surfin' Steve Bake Sale

Eta Sigma officers and members held a bake sale on SFASU's campus near Surfin' Steve to raise funds for the chapter. We sold brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and rice crispy treats! Marissa brought along her dog Finley to help out!
Professional Development Workshop

During the East Texas Historical Associations annual conference we had a Professional Development workshop. We had Alysha Richardson from the THC and Emily Smith, director of Temples Children’s Museum come give tips, advice, and insight to the job market, application process, and interview process for public history jobs.
ETHA Book Sale

During the East Texas Historical Associations annual conference we had a three day book sale to raise funds to send our members to academic conferences to present their research. All the members, officers, and professors from the History Department worked very hard moving boxes, setting up the tables, and selling books! We raised a whopping $1,100 over the three days! Thank you to everyone who helped, donated books, and bought books!
